Tanzania Peaberry Washed - Dark Roast

We are always excited to see a good peaberry bean in the store and many of our customers love these coffees. Peaberry coffees are tiny little beans that look scrunchy and compact. These beans occur when one of the two beans in the coffee cherry do not develop and there is only one bean remaining.

This a coffee with a roast-forward taste and will have a bittersweet, bakers chocolate and spice with a thick, malty texture.  There is a bit of a toasty, smoky flavor as well with a fuller body.

WHERE THIS COFFEE WORKS

This coffee is a dark roast for dark roast fans out there and we generally don't see many medium or light roast drinkers giving this coffee a shot.  We craft this coffee to emphasize the roast flavors and as a result, the flavor will be bigger, bolder and leave a rich aftertaste.
