Vietnam Son La Honey Processed (Medium Roast)

Background

We've had a Vietnamese coffee a few times in the recent past and have featured them as dark roast coffees.  This time we found a honey processed coffee, specifically a white honey process, and decided to spin this as a medium.  The other Vietnamese coffees were a real hit and we think doing this as a medium roast will broaden the appeal even more.

Flavor Profile

This coffee has a milk chocolate, rich, sweet aroma with an apple, mildly floral and bakers chocolate taste with a velvety finish.  Overall there is a medium body and a touch of a brown sugar note too.  The honey process will add an extra depth of flavor to this coffee without introducing sharp or harsh elements that sometimes show up in a natural process coffee.

Any fans of our coffees from Peru or El Salvador will love this coffee because of the similarities with some of the flavors in those.  The depth of flavor, easy drinking feel and novelty of a Vietnamese coffee is an unrivaled combination.  If you want something with a lot of character but still easy to approach, this is the coffee to try.
