Papua New Guinea Eastern Highlands (Dark Roast)

Background

This washed processed coffee comes to us from our friends at StoneX Coffee.  We have traditionally featured a coffee from Papua New Guinea as a direct source, medium roast coffee around the holidays but we are featuring this coffee as a dark roast to fill an open slot around the 2026-2027 winter season.

Flavor Profile

This coffee has a creamy, walnut and dark chocolate with a black pepper and walnut aroma.  Coffee from PNG will often have a touch of a nutty flavor that pairs nicely with the savory body with a dry finish.

Where This Coffee Works

When we have featured a direct source coffee from PNG, it's always a popular option for our medium roast fans.  This might not be the right coffee for medium roast drinkers but it will be a very satisfying option for dark roast fans out there.  We love the mildly smoky, bittersweet flavors plus the subtle nutty and creamy taste that is typical of PNG coffee.
