Colombia RioSierra Washed Processed (Dark Roast)

Background

This washed processed coffee comes to us from our friends at De La Finca traders from RioSierra in Colombia.  We use Colombian coffees in a few of our blends and feature them as single origin coffees from time to time.  There was an open spot in our dark roast lineup and Colombian coffees can be a treat of a sweet dark roast option.

Flavor Profile

This coffee has a sweet, burnt sugar and subtle lemon aroma with a orange, citrus and milk chocolate taste.  There is also a mild vanilla flavor with a medium body and a syrupy finish.

Where This Coffee Works

Colombian coffees are easy, approachable options that we love for their sweetness and flexibility across different roast levels.  As dark roasts, they'll take on a bigger flavor but still have a medium body.  Dark roast fans will like this coffee a lot and anyone looking for a sweeter option with a heavier feel will love this too.
