Colombia Honey EA Decaf (Medium Roast)

This honey processed decaf coffee from Risaralda, Colombia comes from our friends at De La Finca traders and has a sweet, honey, nutty taste along with a touch of nutmeg, milk chocolate tones and a syrupy finish.

WHERE THIS COFFEE WORKS

This is a fun decaf because it was originally a honey processed coffee before going through the decaffeination procedure described below.  The honey process adds an extra depth of flavor and helps to reduce the decaf flavors that are more prominent in our water processed options.

We love this decaf because it's sweet without being sharp, mild but flavorful and easy to drink.

DECAFFEINATION PROCEDURE

This coffee uses a ethyl acetate (EA) to remove caffeine from the coffee. This process is performed using a naturally organic compound found in fruits and vegetables. Read more information about this process here.
